5 Minutes Makeup

Hello people! Finally have a little breather from the flurry of exams and what-nots, so thought I'd blog a little (considering that our blog is so dead).

So this one's for all you girls out there, especially for the ones who requested for it (you know who you are) - A basic makeup tutorial that's easy to follow and fast. And with a little practice, you'll be a pro in no time!

Okay, here's the deal. Some people think that you should apply concealer or foundation but not both. They believe that foundation would ruin your skin, so it's better to just use concealer on certain areas of the face instead of using foundation on your whole face. There are others who believe that you should use both. It's completely up to you.

Ideally, it would be better to use a brush to apply foundation/concealer and powder more evenly. If you don't have a brush, rub the foundation unto your skin. Be careful around the eye areas, which is especially delicate. Wouldn't want to get premature wrinkles! And powders usually come with handy sponges, so use those if you don't have a brush handy.

Then there is the blusher issue. Some people, like Michelle here, applies the blusher first, then the lip colour. Others however think that you should apply the lip colour first, then the blush. This would prevent one from applying too much blush. Again, it's an individual thing. Try them both, if you want, and see which works best for you.

Instead of lipstick, try a nice shimmery coloured gloss for those pouty full lips.

Hope this has been useful for you girls out there. Happy face-painting! ;p
